American West is the meeting point of the culture from the culture brought from the east of Atlantic Ocean (Old World) and the culture brought from the west of Pacific Ocean. West’s early population such as Mexican in Texas and California, Indians, and the coming settlers and the immigrants from China, Irish, and Germany (who rushed to California in search of gold) were met. The cultural and racial differences in the West sometimes created prejudices, misunderstandings, and fights (Secchiaroli, 2011). But, it added the racial and cultural richness to America. Here, those cultures interact to each other and then creating the melting pot. One of the identities of America, which is the mixing of the culture, is formed here, in the West, rather than formed in the East with its homogeneous European culture.
